New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Hicks (elbow) is expected to be good to go for Opening Day, per general manager Brian Cashman.
This comes less than two weeks after Hicks said that he "would be ready to play" if the season begins in late July. Hicks only played 59 games last season and underwent Tommy John surgery on his right elbow at the end of October. He slashed .235/.325/.443 with 12 home runs and 36 RBI over 255 plate appearances. Hicks turns 31 in October.
numberFire's models expect Hicks to bat .234 with a .728 OPS this season.
