New York Mets outfielder Michael Conforto (Grade 1 right oblique strain) will not have any restrictions in spring training, per Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen.
Conforto was questionable for the start of the season in March when it was initially scheduled, but the COVID-19 pandemic allowed him to recover. The 27-year-old slashed .257/.363/.494 with 33 homers (career-high), 92 RBI (career-high), 90 runs scored, and 7 steals in 648 plate appearances last season.
numberFire's models project Conforto to bat .255 with 13 homers, 34 RBI, 34 runs scored, and 2 steals in 233 plate appearances this season. Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Mets have the eighth-best odds (+2200) to win the 2020 World Series.
