Lance Lynn starting for Rangers on Opening Day
Texas Rangers starting pitcher Lance Lynn will start on Opening Day.
It's not clear who Lynn will be facing, but the veteran right-hander will be the one taking the mound for Texas on Opening Day 2.0. Lynn posted a 3.67 ERA and the best WHIP (1.22) of his career last year while also throwing a personal-high 246 strikeouts over a career-high 208 1/3 innings.
Lynn threw the fourth-most strikeouts in the American League last season and had the seventh-lowest ERA in the conference. He struck out 10.6 batters per nine innings (7th in the AL) and posted a 28.1 strikeout percentage. Lynn's 6.7 walk percentage was also a career-best.
