DH could provide more opportunities for Braves' Adam Duvall
Atlanta Braves infielder/outfielder Adam Duvall is a candidate to get some playing time at designated hitter this season, according to Mark Bowman of MLB.com.
Part of the MLB's new rules implementations due to the coronavirus pandemic is a universal DH position, meaning pitchers will no longer hit in the National League. And while he certainly isn't the first option to fill the spot for Atlanta - that would be new signee Marcell Ozuna - Duvall could pick up a few starts in that role as the season rolls on.
In 130 plate appearances last season, Duvall had a .267 batting average with 10 home runs, 19 RBI and an .882 OPS.
