Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton takes live BP Thursday
New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (calf) took live batting practice on Wednesday.
Stanton hit an opposite-field homer during the session and he continues to make progress. He's expected to resume running on Thursday, and that will likely help provide a clearer sense of when Stanton will be cleared to play. The 30-year-old slugger still isn't expected to be ready for Opening Day.
numberFire's models project Stanton to bat .268 with 39 home runs, 96 RBI, and 83 runs scored this season.
