Houston Astros pitcher Justin Verlander was pulled early from Sunday's matchup with the New York Mets due to soreness in his right triceps.
Astros manager Dusty Baker did add that the move was a precautionary one, as the team won't want to take any chances with their star pitcher. We'll learn more about the issue as the week progresses.
Verlander is deservedly a top pick in fantasy drafts this year. If he is healthy, numberFire projects him for a 3.41 ERA, 255 strikeouts, 47 walks and 18 total wins.
