Atlanta's Cole Hamels (shoulder) 'at least a few weeks away from being cleared to throw'
Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Cole Hamels (shoulder) has not been cleared to throw.
What It Means:
Hamels will not throw for a few weeks after suffering shoulder discomfort during the offseason. Expect the veteran left-hander to start the season on the injured list if he is not cleared after his re-evaluation.
In 27 starts last season, Hamels produced a 3.81 ERA and 143 strikeouts.
