He had Tommy John surgery last year. It's likely the 38-year-old will be able to find a one-year deal full of incentives for 2016. Arroyo was incredibly durable from 2004-2013, never failing to throw fewer than 178 2/3 innings and breaking the 200-inning mark eight times. He threw the third most innings in all of baseball over this stretch.

Arroyo didn't pitch in 2015, and he owns a career 4.37 xFIP. He's only had a sub-4.00 xFIP twice in his career -- posting a 3.97 xFIP in 202 innings for the Reds in 2013 and a 3.88 xFIP in 86 innings for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2014. Eating innings and limiting walks is just about all Arroyo offers.
