Stephen Strasburg stupendous out of Nationals' bullpen in Wild Card win
Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg fired three scoreless relief innings with 4 strikeouts on Tuesday in a 4-3 come-from-behind victory over the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Wild Card Game.
It was Strasburg's first career appearance out of the bullpen and resulted in the 31-year-old's second postseason victory. He entered in the sixth inning with the Nationals facing a 3-1 deficit and absolutely dominated the Brewers' batters, spinning 26 of his 34 pitches for strikes.
Strasburg scored 27.0 FanDuel points on Tuesday in relief. He recorded a 3.32 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 251 strikeouts and 56 walks over 209 innings, going 18-6 in 33 starts.
