Ryan Braun (calf) to play left field for Brewers in Tuesday's Wild Card game
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun (calf) will play left field on Tuesday against the Washington Nationals in the National League Wild Card game, manager Craig Counsell said.
Braun suffered a mild calf strain last Friday and was held out of the Brewers' final two regular-season games, but Counsell said it's a non-issue and that the veteran was available to pinch-hit on Sunday if needed. He bounced back in his age-35 season after hitting a career-low .254 in 2018.
Braun batted .285/.343/.505 with 22 homers, 75 RBI, 11 steals, and 70 runs scored in 508 plate appearances (144 games) this season.
