Washington Nationals infielder Anthony Rendon is not in the lineup on Sunday in the team's game against the Cleveland Indians.
Rendon is being replaced at third base by Wilmer Difo against Indians starter Mike Clevinger. Asdrubal Cabrera, Gerardo Parra, Ryan Zimmerman and Yan Gomes are also headed to the bench.
In 646 plate appearances this season, Rendon has a .319 batting average and a 1.010 OPS.
