Minnesota Twins catcher Mitch Garver (hip) is not starting in Tuesday's series opener against right-hander Spencer Turnbull and the Detroit Tigers.
Garver was removed from Sunday's game with right hip tightness. Consider him day-to-day. Jason Castro is starting at catcher for the Twins on Tuesday.
