Los Angeles Angels infielder Matt Thaiss is not in the lineup against the Houston Astros on Saturday.
Thaiss is being replaced at third base by Kaleb Cowart who is batting ninth versus left-hander Wade Miley and the Astros.
Thaiss is batting .197 this season with 6 homers, 19 RBI, and 14 runs scored.
