Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte (back) out for the rest of the season
Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Ketel Marte will be shut down for the rest of the season due to a stress reaction in his lower back.
What It Means:
Marte will not need surgery and Diamondbacks' GM Mike Hazen expects Marte to be completely recovered by spring training.
Marte will end the season with a batting average of .329 with 32 homers, 92 RBI, and 97 runs scored.
