Colorado Rockies catcher Dom Nunez is not starting in Friday's series opener against the San Diego Padres.
Nunez is being replaced by Drew Butera who is catching right-hander Jeff Hoffman and hitting eighth against Padres left-hander Joey Lucchesi.
In 31 at-bats this season, Nunez is hitting .194 with 1 home run and 3 RBI.
