Kansas City Royals outfielder Brett Phillips is not in the lineup on Friday in the team's game against the Houston Astros.
Phillips is being replaced in left field by Alex Gordon against Astros starter Gerrit Cole.
In 59 plate appearances this season, Phillips has a .146 batting average and a .513 OPS.
