Mike Tauchman out rest of season for Yankees with Grade 2 calf strain
New York Yankees outfielder Mike Tauchman will miss 6-8 weeks with a Grade 2 calf strain.
Tauchman suffered the injury on Sunday night at Fenway Park against the Boston Red Sox. It's a disappointing end to a great first year with the Yankees for the 28-year-old. Cameron Maybin is starting in left field for the Yankees on Monday versus the Red Sox.
Tauchman hit .277/.361/.504 with 13 homers, 47 RBI, 6 steals, and 46 scores in 296 plate appearances (87 games) this season.
