Chicago Cubs infielder Addison Russell is in the lineup on Thursday in the team's game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Russell was originally slated to be on the bench on Thursday, but Javier Baez was scratched with a thumb issue. Now, Russell will get the nod at shortstop while batting seventh in the order against Brewers starter Chase Anderson.
In 216 plate appearances this season, Russell has a .234 batting average and a .698 OPS.
