Brad Keller won't start again for Royals this season
Kansas City Royals pitcher Brad Keller will not make another start this season, manager Ned Yost announced.
Keller was tagged for 5 runs over only 1 1/3 innings on Monday in his most recent turn and reported what Yost described as "arm fatigue" after that outing. "There’s nothing to gain from continuing to push him out there," Yost said. The right-hander set a new personal-high with 165 1/3 innings pitched this season, up from 140 1/3 innings last season.
Keller went 7-14 in 28 starts. He posted a 4.19 ERA and 1.35 WHIP with 122 strikeouts and 70 walks over 164 innings.
