New York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino (shoulder) is scheduled to make a rehab start Sunday at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Severino has been sidelined by lat and shoulder injuries all season, but the right-hander is finally ready for game action. He could potentially be back with the Yankees sometime in September, though it will likely be in a limited capacity.
Severino posted a 3.39 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with 220 strikeouts and 46 walks across 191 1/3 innings last season. He finished 19-8 in 32 starts.
