New York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino (shoulder) could begin a rehab assignment on Sunday.
Severino has been sidelined by lat and shoulder injuries all season, but the right-hander is finally nearing game action. He could potentially be back with the Yankees sometime in September.
Severino posted a 3.39 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with 220 strikeouts and 46 walks across 191 1/3 innings last season. He finished 19-8 in 32 starts.
