Los Angeles Angels infielder Matt Thaiss is not starting in Sunday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Framber Valdez and the Houston Astros.
David Fletcher is moving to third base in place of Thaiss while Andrelton Simmons plays shortstop and hits sixth.
