Jesse Winker (back) placed on Reds' injured list
Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jesse Winker is headed to the injured list after suffering a back injury, according to the organization.
Winker is reportedly dealing with a strained cervical, which could be a serious injury. With the Reds firmly out of playoff contention, there's a chance Winker could be out for a prolonged period of time.
In 384 plate appearances this season, Winker has a .269 batting average and an .830 OPS.
