Chicago White Sox left fielder Eloy Jimenez has been scratched from Thursday's lineup against the Texas Rangers with mild hip soreness.
Jimenez is considered day-to-day. Adam Engel is now starting in center field and hitting ninth while Leury Garcia is covering left. James McCann is in the five-hole.
Jimenez is hitting .241/.293/.471 with 22 home runs and 52 RBI in 364 plate appearances (90 games) in his first season in the majors.
