Baltimore Orioles shortstop Richie Martin has been scratched from Thursday's lineup against the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Orioles haven't provided a reason for the scratch. Jonathan Villar is now on shortstop while Jace Peterson is starting at second base and batting ninth.
Martin is hitting .198/.256/.296 with 4 homers, 13 RBI, 7 steals, and 24 scores in 266 plate appearances (98 games) this season.
