Yankees' Brett Gardner (toe) sitting out again on Wednesday
New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner (toe) is out of the lineup again on Wednesday but is expected to start on Thursday.
What It Means:
Gardner had an ingrown toenail removed on Sunday and is getting a few days to rest. Mike Tauchman is starting center again on Wednesday.
Gardner is batting .254 with 17 homers and 67 runs scored over 418 plate appearances this season.
