Avisail Garcia (oblique) cleared for Thursday rehab game
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Avisail Garcia (oblique) will begin a minor league rehab assignment Thursday with Triple-A Durham.
If all goes well, Garcia should return from the 10-day injured list when he's first eligible on Saturday. The 28-year-old is sidelined with a minor oblique strain he suffered last Tuesday.
Garcia is batting .278/.335/.459 with 17 homers, 19 doubles, 57 RBI, 9 steals, and 49 runs scored in 436 plate appearances (101 games) for the Rays this season.
