Astros place Aaron Sanchez (pectoral) on injured list
The Houston Astros placed starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez on the 10-day injured list with a sore right pectoral.
Sanchez allowed 3 runs on 4 hits and 2 walks over just 2 1/3 innings on Tuesday night against the Detroit Tigers. This was after being plastered for 6 runs (4 homers) on 7 hits and 2 walks last Thursday. The extent of the injury is unclear.
Sanchez has recorded a 4.82 ERA and 1.23 WHIP with 16 strikeouts and 9 walks over 18 2/3 innings in four starts for the Astros since being acquired at the deadline.
