New York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner is not starting in Tuesday's matchup against the Oakland Athletics.
Gardner will receive a breather against Oakland with Cameron Maybin starting in left field and Mike Tauchman moving to center.
In 370 at-bats this season, Gardner is hitting .254 with 17 home runs and 50 RBI.
