Los Angeles Angels infielder Matt Thaiss is not starting in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader versus left-hander Brock Burke and the Texas Rangers.
Thaiss drew a walk and batted in a run while manning first base on Tuesday afternoon in Game 1. Albert Pujols is taking Thaiss' place for Game 2.
Thaiss is batting .196/.282/.424 through his first 103 plate appearances in the majors.
