Jason Heyward (knee) still out Thursday for Cubs
Chicago Cubs outfielder Jason Heyward (knee) is out again in Thursday's series finale against the Philadelphia Phillies.
It's a second straight absence after Heyward was scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to minor inflammation in his left knee. The veteran outfielder was able to do an on-field workout Thursday afternoon, so he may be available off the bench. Kyle Schwarber, Albert Almora, and Nick Castellanos are starting across the Cubs' outfield in Thursday's finale.
Heyward is hitting .271/.351/.456 with 17 homers, 48 RBI, 7 steals, and 57 runs scored in 447 plate appearances (111 games) this season.
