Houston Astros starting pitcher Gerrit Cole (hamstring) should be good to go next week, manager A.J. Hinch said.
Cole was scratched from a scheduled start Tuesday after tweaking his hamstring during pregame warmups, but it looks like he will avoid a stint on the injured list. The right-hander is on pace for career-highs in WHIP (0.98) and strikeout percentage (36.8).
Cole is 14-5 in 25 starts this season. He owns a 2.87 ERA with 226 strikeouts and 39 walks over 156 2/3 innings.
