Rays' Yandy Diaz (foot) out for rest of the regular season
Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Yandy Diaz (foot) will miss the rest of the regular season after being diagnosed with a fractured foot on Friday.
Diaz had been on the IL since July 22 with what was initially diagnosed as a bruised foot. However, the infielder was still feeling pain and was sent for further evaluation, when the fracture was found. Diaz will be out six-to-eight weeks, leaving the door open for a possible return during the postseason.
Diaz has batted .270 with 14 homers and 83 runs scored in 344 plate appearances this season.
