Washington Nationals third baseman Anthony Rendon left Wednesday's game early with what the team is calling a "sore toe."
Rendon was hit in the foot by a pitch earlier in the game but was able to play through the injury. He eventually needed to head to the clubhouse and is expected to undergo tests to ensure there is not any structural damage. Asdrubal Cabrera entered the game in Rendon's place.
Rendon was 0-for-2 on Wednesday, dropping his average to .314 this season.
