Kansas City Royals catcher Cam Gallagher has been scratched from Wednesday's lineup against the Boston Red Sox due to a tight left side.
What It Means:
Gallagher apparently experienced the issue in batting practice. Meibrys Viloria is now starting at catcher and batting seventh.
Gallagher is hitting .238 with a .677 OPS in 142 plate appearances this season.
