Boston Red Sox designated hitter J.D. Martinez is batting cleanup in Wednesday's series finale versus right-hander Glenn Sparkman and the Kansas City Royals.
Martinez went 2-for-4 with a double (24) and a run scored (66) while batting third on Tuesday in a 6-2 loss to the Royals. Andrew Benintendi is lined up fifth on Wednesday. Brock Holt is in the eight-hole.
