Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Yonny Chirinos (finger) won't throw for the next two weeks and is expected to be sidelined for four-plus weeks.
Chirinos was placed on the 10-day injured list Monday with right middle finger inflammation. He was lifted Saturday from his most recent start after throwing 63 pitches over five innings. The 25-year-old right-hander has a 9-5 record in 17 starts.
Chirinos owns a 3.62 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with 110 strikeouts and 28 walks over 126 2/3 innings (23 games) this season.
