Dodgers obtain Jedd Gyorko, cash from Cardinals
The Los Angeles Dodgers acquired infielder Jedd Gyorko, 2019-20 international cap space, and cash from the St. Louis Cardinals for left-handed pitcher Tony Cingrani and right-handed pitcher Jeffry Abreu.
Gyorko is currently on the 60-day injured list due to a lower back strain, but he's on the verge of a return. The 30-year-old could provide a bench bat for the Dodgers over the rest of the year.
Gyorko hit just .196/.274/.304 in 62 plate appearances (38 games) for the Cardinals this season.
