Diamondbacks trade for Zac Gallen from Marlins
The Arizona Diamondbacks acquired starting pitcher Zac Gallen from the Miami Marlins for infielder Jazz Chisholm.
Gallen made huge improvements in the minors this season and shined for the Marlins after making his big league debut on June 20. Turning 24 in a few days, the right-hander could stick around in the Diamondbacks' rotation for years to come.
Gallen is 1-3 in seven starts. He owns a 2.72 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with 43 strikeouts and 18 walks over 36 1/3 innings.
