Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Alex Wood (back) is scheduled to make his season debut on Sunday versus the Colorado Rockies.
Wood has been sidelined all season by a back injury. He was acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers in a trade last winter.
The 28-year-old left-hander went 9-7 in 27 starts for the Dodgers last season. He posted a 3.68 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 135 strikeouts and 40 walks in 151 2/3 innings.
