Alex Wood (back) to make Reds debut Sunday
Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Alex Wood (back) is scheduled to make his season debut on Sunday versus the Colorado Rockies.
Wood has been sidelined all season by a back injury. He was acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers in a trade last winter.
The 28-year-old left-hander went 9-7 in 27 starts for the Dodgers last season. He posted a 3.68 ERA and 1.21 WHIP with 135 strikeouts and 40 walks in 151 2/3 innings.
