X-rays negative on Mets' Edwin Diaz's left big toe
X-rays came back negative Thursday on New York Mets pitcher Edwin Diaz's left foot.
What It Means:
Diaz was removed from Thursday's game after getting hit by a batted ball from Manny Machado. He seems to have avoided serious injury and should be considered day-to-day.
Our models project Diaz to post a 3.49 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP and 35 strikeouts over 23.2 remaining innings this season.
