The Tampa Bay Rays placed Yandy Diaz on the 10-day injured list with a left foot contusion.
Diaz suffered the injury when he fouled a ball off his left foot during Monday's game against the Boston Red Sox. X-rays revelaed he avoided structural damage. The Rays activated Matt Duffy from the 60-day IL in a corresponding roster move.
Diaz is hitting .270/.343/.480 with 14 homers, 20 doubles, 38 RBI, and 53 runs scored through 343 plate appearances.
