Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Marcus Stroman has been scratched from his Thursday start against the Boston Red Sox.
Stroman is dealing with a chest issue, so he'll skip his spot in the rotation on the Fourth of July. The Blue Jays will now use Derek Law as an opener in front of Thomas Pannone.
In 104.7 innings pitched this season, Stroman has a 5-9 record with a 3.18 ERA, a 1.26 WHIP, 81 strikeouts and 32 walks.
