Athletics' Jesus Luzardo exits rehab start with tight lat
Oakland Athletics pitcher Jesus Luzardo (shoulder) exited a rehab start Tuesday night at Triple-A Las Vegas with tightness in his left lat muscle.
Luzardo was lifted after giving up just 1 run on 2 hits with 5 punchouts and 0 walks over four innings. The 21-year-old southpaw has yet to make his major league debut after suffering a shoulder strain in March. The Athletics should provide an update within a day or so.
Luzardo has recorded a 2.79 ERA and 0.98 WHIP with 25 strikeouts and 2 walks over 19 1/3 innings between Las Vegas and High-A Stockton this season.
