The Oakland Athletics placed right fielder Stephen Piscotty on the 10-day injured list with a right knee sprain.
Piscotty suffered the injury Saturday on a slide into second base. Chad Pinder is starting in right field in Sunday's series finale with the Los Angeles Angels. Mark Canha also figures to see time in right while Piscotty is out. The Athletics recalled Franklin Barreto from Triple-A Las Vegas in a corresponding roster move.
Piscotty is slashing .242/.306/.391 with 9 home runs, 15 doubles, 34 RBI, 37 runs scored, and 2 steals in 328 plate appearances (76 games) this season.
