Chicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson is being placed on the injured list with a high right ankle sprain.
Anderson suffered the injury during Tuesday's loss to the Boston Red Sox and had to be helped off the field. It's not clear how much time he will miss. White Sox manager Rick Renteria said he’ll use Garcia and Jose Rondon at shortstop in the meantime.
Anderson is slashing .317/.342/.491 with 11 home runs, 37 RBI, 39 runs scored, and 15 steals over 281 plate appearances (70 games).
