New York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton left Tuesday's game in the fourth inning with a knee contusion
The Yankees will send the slugger out for an MRI on his knee to confirm the initial diagnosis. Expect Stanton to sit out on Wednesday while the team plays it safe with the outfielder. Brett Gardner replaced Stanton in the field and the lineup Tuesday.
Stanton came into Tuesday's game batting .267 with 1 homer in just 37 plate appearances this season.
