Chicago Cubs pitcher Adbert Alzolay will make his first major league start Tuesday versus the Atlanta Braves.
Alzolay allowed just 1 hit -- a solo home run -- with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks over four innings of relief in his major league debut last Thursday against the New York Mets. The Cubs intend to use a six-man rotation while Kyle Hendricks (shoulder) is out.
Alzolay posted a 4.00 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with 49 K and 8 BB over 36 total innings (seven starts) in the minors this season.
