Kansas City Royals second baseman Nicky Lopez is hitting second in Thursday's series opener against right-hander Jake Odorizzi and the Minnesota Twins.
Lopez went 2-for-4 while batting sixth in Wednesday's 8-2 loss to the Seattle Mariners. Cheslor Cuthbert is moving down from second to fifth on Thursday.
